Dr. Mohan Babu to Receive Governor Excellence Award from West Bengal Government!

The Government of West Bengal has announced that it will confer the prestigious Governor Excellence Award on renowned actor, educationist, and Padma Shri awardee Dr. M. Mohan Babu. The honour recognises his outstanding contribution to Telugu cinema and his lifelong commitment to providing education to thousands of underprivileged students. The award will be presented during the Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2026, at Lok Bhavan in Kolkata, in the presence of the Honourable Governor of West Bengal and other distinguished dignitaries, followed by the traditional At Home Reception.

This marks the first time the West Bengal Government is presenting an Excellence Award to a Telugu actor, making the occasion even more special.
