‘Spirit’ to Hit Theatres During Diwali; Prabhas’ Film Gets a Release Date

The release date of Spirit, starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has been revised. Initially scheduled to hit theatres on March 5, 2027, the action entertainer is now slated for a worldwide release on October 29, 2027, coinciding with the Diwali festive season. The film is being produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga and Bhushan Kumar under the Bhadrakali Pictures and T-Series Films banners. The newly unveiled poster features Prabhas in an intense, stylish look, sporting a black cap, dark sunglasses and a beard. He is set to play a powerful police officer, while Triptii Dimri plays the female lead and Vivek Oberoi appears in a key role.

The revised schedule has also drawn attention to a potential box-office clash with Ramayana Part 2, starring Ranbir Kapoor, which is reportedly planned for a Diwali 2027 release. However, it remains unclear whether the two films will arrive in theatres on the same day. Meanwhile, fans are awaiting an update on Fauzi, another Prabhas film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Reports suggest that its teaser and release date could be announced on October 23, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday. Although speculation suggests that a delay in filming may have contributed to Spirit’s revised schedule, the makers have not officially confirmed the reason.
