Dhanush has finally addressed the criticism surrounding the National Award won by his directorial film Raayan. Speaking at a recent public event, the actor acknowledged that films like Maharaja and Sathyam Sundaram were also widely appreciated. However, he questioned why people remained silent when his earlier films such as Vada Chennai, Karnan, and Maryan, which many considered National Award-worthy, failed to receive similar recognition.
During the same event, held as part of a large blood donation drive at Vels Medical College, Dhanush urged his fans to stay united and focus on social welfare activities rather than limiting themselves to fan gatherings and audio launch celebrations. His remarks have triggered speculation about a possible political entry in the future. However, Dhanush did not announce any political plans, and the discussions remain based on public interpretation of his speech.
