Acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj is stepping into the spotlight as a lead actor with DC, a crime romance directed by Arun Matheswaran. Featuring Wamiqa Gabbi in the female lead, the film blends action, romance, and emotional drama. Initially scheduled for release on July 31, the makers have now officially postponed the film to August 7, 2026.

The Central Board of Film Certification has awarded DC an ‘A’ certificate, reportedly due to its intense violence and crime-oriented narrative. Produced by Sun Pictures with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the film has already generated strong buzz through its promotional content.
