Bollywood Badshah in 'Raka'?

The buzz around 'Raka', the ambitious science fiction film starring Icon Star Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee, continues to grow. According to industry reports, the film is being mounted on a massive budget of nearly ₹1,000 crore, making it one of the costliest Indian film projects. The makers are reportedly collaborating with international VFX studios to deliver cutting-edge visual effects. Reports also suggest that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan may appear in a special cameo, although no official confirmation has been issued.

The film is said to feature a dual-timeline narrative, with one portion set in a mythological tribal era and the other in the modern world. Mrunal Thakur is reportedly playing the female lead in the contemporary storyline, while Deepika Padukone is expected to feature in the historical segment. Janhvi Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Chemban Vinod Jose and Yogi Babu are also rumoured to be part of the cast. Reports further claim that the makers are planning to release the film in two parts, though an official announcement on the release schedule is still awaited.
