Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has drawn attention to consumer safety after claiming that she found small worms in a newly opened container of protein powder. Sharing a video on social media, the actress expressed concern over the quality of products available to consumers and appealed to Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe to look into the matter and take appropriate action. Her post has triggered discussions online about food quality and safety standards.
The complaint comes as Maharashtra authorities continue inspections aimed at enforcing food-safety regulations. Tukaram Mundhe has also been associated with action against alleged violations involving public figures, with show-cause notices reportedly issued recently to Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff. Bipasha Basu’s complaint has once again brought the issue of product quality and consumer protection into the spotlight. The allegations regarding the protein powder would need to be verified by the relevant authorities.
