

The “Bapu Bomma Vishwa Mahila Awards” ceremony was held grandly in Hyderabad under the initiative of noted actress K. Divyavani Choudary. The awards were introduced on the occasion of International Women's Day 2026 to honour women who have made remarkable achievements in different fields. The first award was presented to Konidela Anjana devi, popularly known as the Mega Mother. Several distinguished women including Shyamala Devi, Swapna, Sameera Baradwaj, and others were also honoured during the event.
The ceremony took place at Daspalla Hotel and was attended by several prominent personalities, including Jupally Krishna Rao and Mahesh Kumar Goud. Speaking on the occasion, Divyavani said the awards aim to recognise women who inspire society through their achievements. She thanked the Government of Telangana led by Revanth Reddy for its efforts toward women’s empowerment. She also announced plans to expand the awards beyond the Telugu states and organise them across India and internationally in the future.
