AP Film Development Corporation Holds First Board Meeting

The newly constituted Andhra Pradesh Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation held its first Board Meeting on Monday at Fortune Murali Park Hotel in Vijayawada. The meeting was chaired by Corporation Chairman P. Bharat Bhushan and attended by Managing Director K.S. Viswanathan along with members of the Board of Directors. Discussions focused on the comprehensive development of the film, television, and theatre sectors in Andhra Pradesh and the formulation of a long-term strategy for industry growth.

The Board deliberated on key initiatives including infrastructure development, promotion of investments, creation of a film-friendly ecosystem, and measures to strengthen the entertainment industry in the state. The appointment of Chikkala Meher Ramesh Kumar as Vice Chairman of the Corporation was also finalized. Special discussions were held on the Nandi Awards, covering pending matters, future guidelines, and recommendations. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to supporting artists, technicians, producers, and stakeholders across the entertainment sector.
