Actor Akkineni Sumanth, while promoting his upcoming film Newton's Third Law, shared interesting memories about his friendship with former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Sumanth said the two studied at Hyderabad Public School (HPS), where Jagan was his senior by two years. He recalled that they shared a close bond and often went to movies, restaurants, and participated in school events together.
Sumanth said Jagan displayed leadership qualities from a young age and served as the house captain at school. He added that many of their friends believed Jagan would enter politics while he would pursue a career in films, which eventually came true. Sumanth clarified that he has no interest in joining politics, though he respects many of his friends in the political field. He also revealed that he met Jagan once when he was the Leader of the Opposition but has not met him since he became Chief Minister.
