Romancham Beauty Ananthika in Yellamma?

Interest in director Venu Yeldandi’s upcoming film Yellamma is growing with each passing day. Produced by Dil Raju, the film marks music director Devi Sri Prasad’s debut as a lead actor. While several names have been discussed for the female lead, Ananthika Sanilkumar, known for Romancham, is now reportedly emerging as a strong contender. There is also buzz that the makers recently conducted a photoshoot with Devi Sri Prasad and Ananthika.

Earlier, names such as Sai Pallavi, Keerthy Suresh, Rashmika Mandanna and Krithi Shetty were also linked to the project. Set against a Telangana backdrop, Yellamma reportedly revolves around a village deity and the story of a stage artist named Parshi, whose circumstances lead him to become Yellamma. The film is expected to explore Telangana culture, family relationships and emotional bonds, similar to the sensibilities seen in Balagam. Curiosity is also high over how Devi Sri Prasad will be presented as an actor. However, the casting details have not been officially confirmed yet.
