The upcoming epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, is generating discussion among movie lovers even before its theatrical release, with high ticket prices becoming a major talking point. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2026, in multiple languages and formats. At INOX Megaplex in Phoenix Mall of the Millennium, Wakad, Pune, IMAX tickets are reportedly priced as high as Rs. 2,820 for recliner seats, while classic seats cost Rs. 1,350. Even regular 3D tickets are said to cost around Rs. 800, prompting audiences to question whether the premium big-screen experience justifies the expense.
The two-part film is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs. 4,000 crore, but some moviegoers believe that steep ticket prices could make it difficult for families and ordinary audiences to watch it in theatres. For a family of four, tickets at Rs. 800 each would cost Rs. 3,200, while four recliner tickets at Rs. 2,820 each would total Rs. 11,280, excluding food, parking and travel. Although strong demand could help the film secure an impressive opening, high prices may also encourage some viewers to wait for its OTT release. Ticket prices in the Telugu states could also see an increase, and audience reactions will become clearer once bookings open.
