Peddi’s OTT rights sold for ₹130 crore

Mega Power Star Ram Charan is playing the lead role in the upcoming film Peddi, directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana. The expectations for this movie are increasing day by day. Made on a huge pan-India scale, the film features Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine, while Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar will be seen in a crucial role. Buchi Babu Sana created a sensation at the box office with Uppena. Now, the same director teaming up with Global Star Ram Charan for a pan-India project has boosted expectations massively. Adding to that, the glimpse released from the movie has further heightened the hype. Ram Charan’s dialogue “Anything we want to do, we must do it while we are still on this land… who knows where we are born next time?” went hugely viral.

The recently released Chikiri song took the craze to the next level, creating a record by crossing 100 million+ views in a very short time. It is still trending on social media, clearly showing how massive the hype is for Ram Charan’s Peddi. With such sky-high expectations surrounding the film, several OTT platforms have entered the race for its digital rights. According to trade reports, Netflix has acquired the digital rights for all languages. The platform is said to have purchased them for a massive amount of nearly ₹130 crore.
