The much-awaited NTR–Prashanth Neel film Dragon is finally back on track after a brief halt. The pause happened due to script fine-tuning and changes in key casting, including the replacement of actor Nassar with Malayalam actor Biju Menon after the earlier footage was scrapped. With everything streamlined now, the makers have locked two major shooting schedules.
The team will shoot in RFC, Hyderabad, from December 1 to 25, followed by an intense foreign schedule from January 1 till the end of the month, with only one or two gaps in between. These schedules will cover crucial action blocks and forest episodes designed on a huge scale. Although NTR has reportedly completed most of his portions, the film still requires extensive post-production.
Dragon will involve nearly six months of heavy CG and VFX work, making it one of the most technically complex Indian films in the making. The forest sequences, animal shots, and large-scale action scenes require massive visual effects, especially those planned for the overseas shoot.
Reports also reveal that the story is too large to be told in a single film, and hence Dragon is expected to have a second part, not as a traditional sequel but as a continuation of the same narrative.
