During an election rally in Dhanekhali, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a strong attack on the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). He remarked that after the May 4 election results, TMC supporters would be reduced to doing menial jobs instead of engaging in politics. Adityanath also claimed that the first phase of polling held on April 23 had already created fear among TMC cadres, forcing many to look for hiding places.
He further described the TMC government as a “symbol of terror, mafia rule, and corruption,” alleging that development funds sent by the central government were being misused by party workers. Targeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he criticized her stance on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and accused her government of allowing infiltrators while restricting Hindu festivals and slogans like “Jai Shri Ram.”
