Water Board Warns of Action Against Drinking Water Wastage

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has urged residents in and around Hyderabad to report incidents of drinking water wastage and misuse. If people notice water being wasted or misused anywhere, they can share relevant photographs or videos, along with the details of the individuals or organisations involved and the exact location with the complete address. Complaints can be sent to the Water Board’s WhatsApp number, 99499 30003, to help officials identify and address such incidents.

The Water Board has also asked residents to register complaints through its customer care number, 155313. Officials stated that every complaint received from the public would be examined and appropriate action would be taken against those responsible, wherever necessary. The initiative aims to prevent the unnecessary loss of drinking water and encourage the responsible use of this essential resource. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with the authorities by promptly reporting incidents and providing accurate information.
