

Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan offered prayers at the Tirumala temple this morning. On his arrival at the shrine, he was warmly received by TTD Chairman B. R. Naidu, Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO C. H. Venkayya Chowdary and CVSO Muralikrishna. Thereafter, the temple priests accorded him a traditional ceremonial welcome in accordance with temple customs.
The Vice President then paid respects at the Dwajasthambam before having darshan of Lord Venkateswara. He later visited the shrines of Vakulamatha, Vimana Venkateswara Swamy, Bhashyakarla Sannidhi and Yoga Narasimha Swamy. Subsequently, Vedic scholars offered Veda Ashirvachanam at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. On the occasion, the TTD Chairman and EO presented him with a portrait of the deity along with sacred prasadam.
He also visited the Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple located opposite the main Tirumala shrine. The programme was attended by TTD Board members Ramamurthy, Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Janga Krishnamurthy, along with several state and district-level officials.
