US-Iran Hold Key Talks

The United States and Iran are holding discussions on two key issues with Oman's mediation. A major focus of the talks is ensuring that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons, a long standing concern for the US and its allies.

The discussions are also centered on ensuring the safe movement of commercial vessels through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said more clarity on the outcome of the negotiations is expected soon.
