Uppal–Narapally Flyover to Open by Next June - Minister Komatireddy

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has assured the Telangana Legislative Council that the long delayed Uppal–Narapally Elevated Corridor will be completed and opened to the public by June next year under all circumstances. Responding to questions from Opposition Leader Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary and members Teenmar Mallanna and Pingili Sripal Reddy, the Minister said the project, launched in 2017–18, had faced major operational hurdles. The Congress government has taken steps to remove the bottlenecks and speed up the construction.

Komatireddy said the main contractor approached the National Company Law Tribunal, while another agency brought in later also failed to complete the work. Following the intervention of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the state government coordinated with Gayatri Projects to resume and accelerate construction. He said road renewals and surface repairs beneath the corridor have been completed and round the clock work is underway. A recent review with senior officials focused on logistics and timely payments. The Minister reiterated that the corridor will meet its revised June deadline.
