There is growing curiosity in Tollywood over who will direct Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film. Although a project with Srikanth Odela was announced earlier, reports suggest that it may currently be on hold. Meanwhile, the name of Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj has surfaced, while Harish Shankar and Maruthi are also said to have narrated stories to Chiranjeevi. However, none of these directors has reportedly received final approval so far. Industry discussions suggest that Chiranjeevi is carefully evaluating the script, the director’s commitment and their approach to filmmaking before making a decision.
Expectations are also building around Chiranjeevi’s film with director Bobby, reportedly titled Kaaka. According to reports, the team is planning a Sankranti release in 2027, with post-production work said to be underway following the near completion of filming. Their previous collaboration, Waltair Veerayya, was a success, raising expectations for the upcoming project. Meanwhile, audiences are also awaiting updates on Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta. Chiranjeevi’s next collaboration after these projects is likely to attract further attention once an official announcement is made.
