TTD Introduces Moving Conveyor Table to Simplify Annaprasadam Distribution

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has launched an innovative conveyor-style moving table system to make Annaprasadam distribution easier for devotees waiting in queue lines. The initiative was introduced under the guidance of Additional Executive Officer Venkayya Chowdary in coordination with the Engineering and Catering departments. Built at an estimated cost of ₹10 lakh, the seven-metre-long moving table allows food plates to circulate continuously, enabling devotees to collect meals without interrupting their movement in the queue.

The pilot project, implemented last month near Tirumala's Ring Road, received a positive response. Encouraged by its success, TTD is now planning to install nearly ten such moving tables at Vaikuntam Queue Complexes 1 and 2, Narayanagiri sheds, and other queue routes. The Engineering Department is also preparing proposals to increase the table length from the current seven metres to between 12 and 15 metres, ensuring faster and more efficient Annaprasadam distribution during peak pilgrim rush.
