TDP vs YSRCP Face-Off in Vijayawada

Tension prevailed in Vijayawada after YSRCP leaders, led by former MLA Malladi Vishnu, staged a relay hunger strike demanding a CBI inquiry into the DSC-2025 recruitment process. TDP MLA Bonda Uma and party leaders reached the protest site, alleging that the camp had been set up without official permission. They also accused the protesters of using abusive language against Minister Nara Lokesh.

The situation escalated into a confrontation between TDP and YSRCP workers after TDP supporters attempted to remove the protest tent, while YSRCP workers tried to stop them. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control by deploying additional personnel. Former MLA Malladi Vishnu was later taken into custody for allegedly conducting the protest without permission.
