Stalin Targets Vijay Govt Over Udhayanidhi Arrest

DMK president MK Stalin launched a sharp attack on the Vijay-led Tamil Nadu government after Udhayanidhi Stalin was arrested over remarks made during a protest related to the Cauvery water dispute. Although Udhayanidhi was later granted bail, Stalin alleged that the government deliberately used the arrest to divert attention from key public issues and suppress the opposition before the Assembly session. He also questioned the manner in which the police handled the case.

Stalin accused the government of failing to safeguard Tamil Nadu's interests in the Cauvery issue and claimed it was targeting critics instead of addressing people's concerns. He defended Udhayanidhi, stating that if any objectionable remarks were proven, he would apologise. Stalin also urged Chief Minister Vijay to focus on governance instead of political distractions, intensifying the ongoing political confrontation in the state.
