The conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate, with both sides intensifying their attacks. On Monday, Russian forces reportedly carried out airstrikes on an aid centre in southern Ukraine. At least 24 people were killed in the incident, while around 20 others remain missing. Rescue teams are working to locate people trapped under the debris, and those injured have been shifted to hospitals for treatment.
Officials said that a school in the residential area of Komyshuvakha was being used as a temporary humanitarian aid centre. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the school building and another nearby aid centre were also targeted in Monday’s attacks. Expressing concern over the incident, he alleged that Russia was striking buildings where civilians had sought shelter. He described the attacks as further evidence that Russia was not seeking to de-escalate tensions or bring the war to an end.
