The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that Cyclone Murasu has completely crossed the Andhra Pradesh coast. According to the department, the cyclone made landfall near Ongole. After crossing the coast, the system is expected to move west-northwestwards and gradually weaken. Weather conditions in several parts of the state may continue to be influenced by the cyclone as it moves inland.
Although the cyclone has crossed the coast, officials have warned that its impact is unlikely to subside immediately. The effects of the weather system are expected to continue for another 24 hours. Authorities have advised people in coastal areas to remain alert and follow weather-related advisories. Officials are continuing to monitor the situation and assess the cyclone's impact.
