Rega Kantha Rao Approaches High Court, Seeks Quashing of Case

Former BRS MLA Rega Kantha Rao has approached the High Court seeking to quash a case registered at Panjagutta Police Station in Hyderabad. The case was filed based on a complaint by a young woman alleging that he sexually assaulted her after promising a job and help in setting up a channel, and also failed to return ₹5 lakh.

Kantha Rao stated that the allegations are false and politically motivated, aimed at damaging his personal reputation. He argued that filing a complaint over an incident that allegedly occurred four years ago is legally untenable and requested the court to dismiss the case. The petition is likely to be heard on the 5th of this month by Justice B.R. Madhusudhan Rao.
