Journalist Ravish Kumar has taken a sarcastic swipe at the government's decision to shut several Delhi Metro stations near Jantar Mantar during the ongoing student protests. In a post on X, he described the Metro closure as a "great idea" in a sarcastic tone, suggesting that if people could no longer use the Metro, they would be forced to travel by cars.
He further joked that the next protest might even be over E20 fuel, using humor to question whether shutting public transport was an effective response to demonstrations. While the authorities maintain that the restrictions were imposed to ensure security and law and order, critics argue that the move has caused inconvenience to the public without addressing the concerns of the protesting students.
