Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and RTC Managing Director Nagireddy paid their last respects to deceased RTC conductor Pravallika at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary. The minister also consoled her mother and assured the family of the RTC’s full support. Following Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s directions, the government will provide a job to Pravallika’s mother and sanction an Indiramma house. He announced that the government and the RTC would jointly provide an ex-gratia amount of ₹10 lakh. In addition, the family will receive ₹1 crore as accident insurance compensation through the bank, in accordance with the RTC’s decision.
Expressing grief over Pravallika’s death, Ponnam Prabhakar said the loss was deeply painful for the entire RTC family. He stated that efforts were made to provide her with the best possible medical treatment after the incident, but she could not be saved. The minister said a murder case would be registered against the accused and strict action would be taken. He urged people to report any misconduct by RTC staff to higher authorities instead of taking the law into their own hands. He also stressed that the safety and welfare of employees, along with the convenience of passengers, remain equal priorities for the RTC.
