

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for extensive awareness among farmers regarding the irrigation crisis caused by the ongoing Super El Niño conditions. During a meeting with Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu at the Deputy CM's camp office in Mangalagiri, the leaders reviewed the drought situation, water availability and its impact on agriculture. Pawan Kalyan urged officials and public representatives to educate farmers and explore alternative measures to mitigate the crisis.
The Deputy Chief Minister thanked Minister Ramanaidu for releasing 1,000 cusecs of water from the Yeleru project to benefit farmers in Pithapuram, Peddapuram and Jaggampeta constituencies of Kakinada district. He also stressed the need to ensure that every eligible farmer is enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana crop insurance scheme through widespread awareness campaigns. During the meeting, the minister also enquired about Pawan Kalyan's recovery following his shoulder surgery and wished him a speedy recovery.
