

More than half of the assurances made by Chief Ministers and Ministers on the floor of the Telangana Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state have been implemented, according to the Assembly Assurances Committee. The committee stated that out of a total of 2,266 assurances, 1,092 have been fulfilled, while 1,174 remain pending. It also noted that 750 of the pending assurances were made during the previous government.
The committee reviewed the status of the pending assurances during a meeting held in the presence of Minister D. Sridhar Babu and Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Members discussed the need to expedite the implementation of the remaining commitments and decided to take necessary steps to ensure that pending assurances are addressed at the earliest.
