New Pensions in Telangana from Next Month - Minister Seethakka

The Telangana government has stepped up preparations for the distribution of new pensions. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister D. Seethakka directed officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive their new pensions before the Dasara festival. She instructed officials to speed up the field-level verification process and asked SERP CEO Divya Devarajan to deploy additional staff if required. Reports indicate that lakhs of applications have already been received under the latest pension enrolment drive.

The minister directed officials to ensure that widows and single women receive pensions on a full scale and that all eligible applicants benefit from the scheme. She called for the verification process to be completed at the earliest and arrangements to be made for pension distribution by Dasara. Telangana’s social security pension system covers several categories of beneficiaries, including widows and single women.
