My Career Changed After Telangana Was Formed - Udaya Bhanu

Anchor and actress Udaya Bhanu has opened up about her career and made emotional remarks about the opportunities she received after the formation of Telangana. Speaking to a media channel, she was asked why she was not getting offers despite more films being made with a Telangana backdrop. She said that simply having a Telangana background does not guarantee film opportunities and claimed that she lost her place in the industry after Telangana was formed. She recalled doing several shows before the state was formed and said she was not even chosen to host programmes organised by the government. Udaya Bhanu added that being born as a Telangana native gave her “zero advantage” in her career.

She also said that she has always tried to make use of the talent given to her by God. According to her, she received several acting opportunities but chose not to accept some of them because the stories did not impress her. She said many offers came after the Rajasekhar song, but she had set certain boundaries for herself. Udaya Bhanu clarified that she has not said goodbye to acting, although she is currently focusing more on production. She said she wants to provide opportunities to newcomers and encourage talented people through her production work.
