A missile attack targeted an Indian vessel near Yemeni waters in the Red Sea. The MSV Faiz Noor Olia was hit during the attack and later sank. At the time of the incident, 14 crew members were on board. Yemen’s coast guard carried out a rescue operation and saved all crew members, including 13 Indians and one Yemeni national, providing immediate medical assistance.
India strongly condemned the attack on the vessel. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stated that the country condemns the unprovoked attack and that the safety of citizens remains the top priority. Authorities are coordinating with all agencies to provide necessary support to the rescued sailors.
