Massive Spice Adulteration Racket Busted in Hyderabad

A major spice adulteration racket has been uncovered in Hyderabad during inspections conducted by the authorities. After previous cases involving adulterated chilli powder, milk, ghee, and edible oils, officials have now detected large-scale adulteration in spices. During the raids, authorities seized 25.3 tonnes of adulterated spices and 89.15 tonnes of raw materials.

Officials revealed that the adulterated spices were allegedly prepared using synthetic colours, cloth dyes, and talcum powder. Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand said several accused have been arrested in connection with the case. Authorities stated that strict action will continue against those involved in food adulteration to protect public health.
