Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has issued an apology to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the removal of his selfie video from the platform. Meta representatives met with the central government and explained that the video was deleted due to a technical error. Zuckerberg expressed regret over the incident and offered a public apology on behalf of the company.
During the meeting, Meta also addressed concerns regarding the spread of CSAM content and deepfake videos on its platforms. The company acknowledged shortcomings in content management and admitted that mistakes were made in handling certain types of content. Meta assured that it is working to improve platform safety and prevent misuse of its services.
