Mahua Moitra Slams BJP Over Kolkata Police Raid

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has accused the BJP of political vendetta after police conducted an early morning search at the residence linked to party leader Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata. She alleged that the police entered around 3 am, broke open the door, and searched the premises for nearly 90 minutes but did not recover any items.

The search was reportedly part of an investigation connected to Abhishek Banerjee’s aide Sumit Roy, who is facing allegations of financial fraud and land related irregularities. Moitra called the operation politically motivated and said it was aimed at intimidating opposition leaders, claiming “zero seizure, 100% vendetta”.
