The Krishna River, usually known for its bluish waters, has turned brown after Godavari water was diverted into it through the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme. The blending of Godavari waters has visibly changed the river's colour, creating an unusual and eye-catching spectacle that has drawn the attention of locals and visitors alike.
The colour change can be seen from the sacred confluence near Ibrahimpatnam in NTR district up to the Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada. Curious visitors have been gathering along the riverbanks to capture photographs and selfies, with many sharing the rare sight on social media. The confluence of the Krishna and Godavari waters has become a visual attraction for the public.
