Iran Says US Sanctions Relief and Asset Release Part of Agreement

Iran has officially confirmed that a peace agreement with the United States is in place, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi. He stated that both countries are expected to sign the agreement on June 19. As part of the deal, the US has reportedly agreed to lift restrictions and release Iranian assets, marking a significant diplomatic development.

Gharibabadi further said that a 60-day period has been set aside for final discussions on the agreement. Meanwhile, Iranian state media IRIB noted that the US would eventually have to end its confrontational stance. The announcement comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, though both sides appear to be moving toward formalizing the deal.
