HYDRA Works with Constitutional Spirit: Ranganath

HYDRA Commissioner AV Ranganath stated that the organisation is working in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution. He said that under Articles 21 and 48A, HYDRA has taken steps to protect government properties, lakes, and parks. He revealed that assets worth around ₹1.50 lakh crore in market value have been safeguarded over the past two years, with six lakes fully restored and restoration works underway for 20 more lakes.

Ranganath alleged that land mafias and encroachers were misleading courts with false information to obstruct HYDRA’s actions. He said 63 contempt cases have been filed against him by those affected by anti-encroachment measures, but he would face them legally. He reaffirmed his commitment to performing government responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and transparency.
