

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has issued a Yellow Alert for five districts in Telangana, forecasting heavy rainfall on Thursday. According to the weather department, Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Nizamabad districts are likely to experience heavy showers at isolated places. The department has also predicted light to moderate rainfall across several parts of the state until July 28.
Meanwhile, government data indicates that 24 districts in Telangana continue to face a rainfall deficit despite recent showers. Nandigama in Ranga Reddy district recorded the state's highest rainfall, receiving 5.9 centimetres during the latest observation period. Authorities have advised residents in the affected districts to remain alert and follow weather updates.
