Government Takes Key Decision on Singareni Land Pattas

The Telangana government is taking steps to issue ownership titles to people who have established permanent residences on Singareni lands in areas including Godavarikhani, Mancherial, Mandamarri, Kothagudem and Yellandu, Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said. He stated that Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had recently directed officials to take steps in this regard. Sridhar Babu made the remarks while speaking to the media after offering special prayers at the Hanuman temple on the banks of Ravula Cheruvu in Manthani on Sunday.

Sridhar Babu recalled that during the tenure of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, several residential plots in Singareni areas were regularised and pattas were issued to residents. He said a committee would be constituted to examine the remaining cases and facilitate the issuance of titles. Recent government statements have also indicated steps to resolve pending ownership issues in Singareni coal-belt areas.
