Vijaya Dairy has announced a hike in the milk procurement price for dairy farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The price has been increased by ₹3 per litre, from ₹85 to ₹88. According to a statement issued by Vijaya Dairy Managing Director Eshwara Rao, farmers will be paid ₹88 per litre from September 1. The hike is expected to provide additional income to dairy farmers.
The revised procurement price is likely to offer some relief to dairy farmers across the state. The move is also expected to encourage greater participation in milk production and procurement. The new price will come into effect from September 1.
