Glasgow Restaurant Apologises Over India Map Controversy

A restaurant in Glasgow has apologised after an incorrect and incomplete map of India was printed on napkins. The issue came to light when Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain and other athletes visited the restaurant during the Commonwealth Games. The incident sparked criticism on social media, with the Boxing Federation of India also expressing disappointment. The Indian Embassy in Scotland responded to the controversy as well.

The restaurant, Mr Singh’s India, issued an official apology, deleted its Instagram account, and announced plans to change its logo with a correct map. The restaurant said the mistake was unintentional and that it respects Indian heritage. It also expressed pride in serving Indian customers for nearly 32 years and said hosting Indian athletes during the Commonwealth Games was an honour.
