Farmers Block Road Near Revanth Reddy’s Native Village.. Harish Rao Fires!

Former minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao criticised the Telangana government over a farmers’ protest near Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s native village, Kondareddypally. According to the press release, farmers staged a protest and blocked the Srisailam–Hyderabad National Highway with tractors, demanding adequate electricity supply for their agricultural needs. Harish Rao described the incident as a reflection of what he called the government’s failure.

Harish Rao alleged that the Congress had promised 24-hour quality free power to farmers before the elections but was now failing to provide even six to eight hours of proper electricity supply. He questioned how the government could address the problems of farmers across Telangana if issues near the Chief Minister’s own village remained unresolved. He also demanded, on behalf of the BRS, that Revanth Reddy ensure 24-hour power supply to farmers’ fields.
