Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla stated that a drug-free India is the foundation for achieving a developed nation. He emphasized that building a “Nasha Mukt Bharat” is the collective responsibility of every citizen, and only when villages and states are free from addiction can the country truly progress. The Governor participated in the nationwide launch of the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ initiated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with youth and students at Brahma Kumaris’ Shanti Sarovar Global Peace Auditorium in Gachibowli.
On this occasion, the Governor launched the ‘10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Campaign’ in Telangana and administered an anti-drug pledge to students and youth. He highlighted that with nearly 65 percent of the population being youth, protecting them from substance abuse is crucial for the nation’s future. Stressing the importance of discipline, health, and awareness, he encouraged young people to adopt yoga, sports, and ethical living. The event also featured awareness initiatives such as walkathons, cultural programs, and campaigns led through the MY Bharat platform to promote a drug-free society.
