

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Dheeraj Bommadevara for creating history by becoming the first Indian male archer to win an individual gold medal at the Archery World Cup Final. He praised Dheeraj’s inspiring journey from the Vijayawada Archery Grounds to the global stage in Mexico. Chandrababu said that Dheeraj achieved the world-class victory through determination, concentration and relentless practice, making him an inspiration for young sporting talent in Andhra Pradesh. He also wished the archer greater success in the future.
Minister Nara Lokesh also congratulated Dheeraj Bommadevara, stating that his achievement has taken Andhra Pradesh’s sporting reputation to the global stage. Lokesh also extended his wishes to the Indian women’s cricket team for winning the Women’s Asia Cup T20 title. He praised the team for an outstanding performance in the final and for securing the championship for the eighth time. Lokesh said it was particularly a matter of pride for Andhra Pradesh that state cricketer Sri Charani played a key role by claiming four wickets in the final.
