

Devotees have been thronging Khairatabad to seek the blessings of the famous Bada Ganesh idol, which has been crafted at a height of 69 feet this year. The first puja for the Maha Ganapati will be performed on Monday morning, with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla scheduled to participate. Special arrangements have also been made to manage the large number of devotees visiting the area.
Traffic restrictions will remain in force from Monday until September 24, with vehicles being diverted along several routes from 11 am each day depending on the crowd. Vehicles approaching from VV Statue will be diverted towards Nirankari Junction, while traffic from the old PS Saifabad will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar. Traffic from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound and from Nirankari towards Khairatabad Railway Gate has also been restricted. Special parking facilities have been arranged at Race Course Road, NTR Ghat, the HMDA parking area beside IMAX and Vishweshwarayya Bhavan.
