Depression Centered Over South Odisha Land Region

A depression is currently centered over the land region of south Odisha and is moving towards the north-northwest direction. The system is likely to weaken into a low-pressure area by tomorrow morning. Under its influence, very heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha today and tomorrow.

One or two places in the northern coastal districts are also likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall today. Several districts have been placed under a possible flash flood alert due to the expected heavy downpours. Authorities have advised people to remain cautious, particularly in low-lying areas and near streams and canals.
