Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the arrangements for Ganesh celebrations in Hyderabad at the Legislative Council Conference Hall on the Assembly premises. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Azharuddin, MP Vem Narender Reddy, MLAs Danam Nagender and Sri Ganesh, commissioners of GHMC, CMC, MMC and HYDRA, senior police officials, other officers and representatives of Ganesh Utsav committees attended the meeting.
Revanth Reddy said his government had restored the traditional arrangements for Ganesh celebrations after coming to power. He said he was personally conducting the review to understand the organisers’ concerns and directed them to provide local police commissioners with details of guests invited to the mandaps. He said the information would help authorities respond quickly to any unexpected situations. He also said Telangana was providing free electricity to Ganesh mandaps and urged organisers to apply to the concerned authorities to avail the facility.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that information about mandaps is shared in advance so that police can plan traffic management and security arrangements effectively. He asked authorities to incorporate facilities for Ganesh immersion while developing water bodies, including arrangements for cranes. Municipal and police departments should continuously monitor the celebrations until they conclude, with a control room at the Command Control Centre and dedicated officers for coordination. Revanth Reddy stressed that Hyderabad must remain peaceful to attract investments and urged organisers to cooperate with the government in maintaining law and order.
