Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand has launched seven digital services developed by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to modernise police operations and improve public service delivery. A Citizen Feedback Centre has been established to collect direct feedback from people using police services. The centre gathers public responses on petitions, FIR registration, e-challans and passport verification. In another initiative, a dedicated software platform has been developed to connect 35 Bharosa Centres operating across various districts of the state. The system records details of counselling, medical assistance, legal support and rehabilitation services provided to victims. It also enables senior police officials to monitor cases from the initial stage through to their conclusion, helping improve coordination and oversight.
The department has also introduced a state-level dashboard to replace paper-based registers, making 23 types of reports accessible to police personnel. A Jail Monitoring System has been launched to ensure that police receive timely information about prisoners being released from jails. The new system has been integrated with the existing prison management system. DGP C.V. Anand said five Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) had also been developed to improve standards in criminal investigations. The initiatives are aimed at strengthening digital monitoring, improving transparency and enhancing the efficiency of police services. DGP for Law and Order Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, CID Director General Charu Sinha, Additional Director General Akun Sabharwal and other officials attended the launch event.
