Chinese Stealth Fighters Arrive Near LAC

Satellite images have revealed that China has deployed its advanced J-20 ‘Mighty Dragon’ stealth fighter jets near the Indian border. These fifth-generation aircraft, equipped with stealth technology to evade radar detection, are considered among the most powerful fighter jets in the Chinese Air Force. According to satellite images collected by commercial satellite company Vantor, China has positioned 12 J-20 fighters at air bases in Xinjiang and Tibet near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Images captured on July 9 showed eight J-20 aircraft at the Hotan airbase in Xinjiang province, located around 389 km from Leh in Ladakh. Another four J-20 fighters were spotted at the Damxung airbase in Tibet, which is approximately 344 km from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The deployment of advanced fighter jets at high-altitude military bases within a short period has drawn attention among defence circles.
